You have to pick and choose your voter-contact tactics based on the time you’ve got available, the money you’ve got to spend, and what works for your community. The best campaign does a mix of multiple approaches coordinated in messaging and timing. Generally speaking, the more personal the tactic, the more likely that tactic is to produce a vote—the smaller and more local the election, the greater impact person-to-person contact has.
